With more funding comes more visits…SB 643 requires ananual visits of all 3 and 4 person homes and foster/companion care (FCC) settings.
A few Steps to Prepare:
* Verify accuracy of address and contact information in CARE
* Notify FCC pproviders and resdiential staff to expect visits
* Maintain emergency plans, proof of emergency drills and copies of current fire inspections on-site
Proposed procedural rules:
* inaccurate location information in care may result in intermittent review
* immediate action will be taken if residential review results in significant risk
* Checklist score under 90% will require evidence of correction (such as photos of repairs)

I read Senate bill 643 but I do not see
any reference to annual inspection of
foster care homes… in fact, the text
says, “other than” foster care homes,
which means they are excluded.
Am I reading this incorrectly ?
Please give me more info where this is
mandated in the new law.
Thanks for your help
