— An excerpt of a recent news alert:
In accordance with Senate Bill 7 (83rd Legislature, 2013) the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) shall evaluate comprehensive assessment instruments for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) as needed to ensure that each individual with an IDD receives the type, intensity and range of services that are both appropriate and available, based on the functional needs of that individual receiving services in:
a Medicaid waiver program;
the intermediate care facility for individuals with an intellectual disability (ICF/IID) program; or
a state operated ICF/IID.
Towards that effort, DADS has developed a survey to solicit input from stakeholders. Please visit the following link to participate in the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/assessment_for_IDD.
