HHSC will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at 1:30 p.m., to receive comment on proposed Medicaid payment rates for Audiometric Services, rates for first and second quarter 2013 Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System updates, Medicaid Biennial Calendar Fee Review, Outpatient Behavioral Health Services, Physician-Administered Drug – Fluarix, Physician-Administered Drug – Hydroxyprogesterone Caproate, Physician-Administered Drug – Imported Lipodox, and Physician-Administered Drug – Prevnar 13, Telemonitoring Services
The hearing will take place in the Public Hearing Room, Brown-Heatly Building, located at 4900 North Lamar, Austin. See the Texas Register for details.
Proposed Rules
HHSC proposed new §354.1434, Home Telemonitoring Benefits and Limitations, which would describe the requirements for providing home telemonitoring services under the Texas Medicaid Program, including provider requirements, client requirements, and the Medicaid reimbursement methodology.
HHSC also proposed to amend §355.7001, Reimbursement Methodology for Telemedicine and Telehealth Services, to include the reimbursement methodology for home telemonitoring services. For details, see the Texas Register.
Adopted Rules
HHSC adopted amendments to §354.1003, Time Limits for Submitted Claims, which allows enrolled Medicaid providers under the Blind Children’s Vocational Discovery and Development Program (BCVDDP) to submit Medicaid claims for services rendered under the program, for which certification of the expenditures of state or local funds is required, within 365 days from the date of service. Proposed Rule Reviews
The Texas Board of Nursing filed an intent to review and consider for re-adoption, re-adoption with amendments, or repeal, the following chapter contained in Title 22, Part 11, of the Texas Administrative Code: Chapter 227, Pilot Programs for Innovative Applications to Professional Nursing Education, §§227.1 – 227.6.
