HHSC intends to submit an amendment to the Texas State Plan for Medical Assistance to update the fee schedules in the current state plan by including fees for new services and modifying fees for existing services: Dental Services; Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies; Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment Services; and Physicians and Certain Other Practitioners.
HHSC also intends to submit an amendment that will reduce the Medicaid rates for clinical laboratory services as a result of corresponding reductions to the Medicare fees upon which the Medicaid rates are based. Finally, HHSC intends to submit to CMS a request to renew the NorthSTAR Behavioral Health waiver program.

Adopted Rules
HHSC adopted amendments to ยง354.1634, Waiver Pool Allocation and Valuation, which will allow non-Medicaid provider anchors to receive the one-time Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment for the first demonstration year. For more information, see the Texas Register.
