Public Hearing
HHSC will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 20, 2012, at 9 a.m. to receive comment on proposed payment rates for Supported Employment in the CLASS waiver program and Employment Assistance and Supported Employment in the DBMD waiver program. The hearing will be held in the Palo Duro Conference Room of the HHSC, Braker Center, Building H, located at 11209 Metric Boulevard, Austin. See the Texas Register for more information.
Proposed Rules
HHSC proposes to amend §354.1231, Benefits and Limitations Relating to Medicaid Hearing Aid Services, which would limit coverage for hearing aids for adults to one if there is hearing loss in both ears. HHSC also proposes to amend §354.1252, Certified Nurse-Midwives, and new §354.1253, Licensed Midwives. The changes would clarify that the section applies only to CNMs and describe the conditions under which an LM may participate in the Medicaid program and receive reimbursement. Adopted Rules
HHSC adopted new §355.314, Supplemental Payments to Non-State Government-Owned Nursing Facilities. Non-state government-owned NFs may apply to receive supplemental payments determined in accordance with Medicaid UPL provisions. See the Texas Register for details.
