The following information was obtained from the June 1 issue of the Texas Register:
A correction:
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) proposed an amendment to 1 TAC §370.4, concerning definitions, in the May 4, 2012, issue of the Texas Register (37 TexReg 3283). On page 3286, new language in the definition of “dental home”, renumbered from paragraph (29) to (30), was inadvertently shown without underlining, making the text appear to be existing language. The corrected paragraph follows:
(30) [ (29) ] Dental home–A provider who has contracted with a dental MCO to serve as a dental home to a member and who is responsible for providing routine preventive, diagnostic, urgent, therapeutic, initial, and primary care to patients, maintaining the continuity of patient care, and initiating referral for care. Provider types that can serve as dental homes are federally qualified health centers and individuals who are general dentists or [ and ] pediatric dentists.
HHSC will hold a public hearing on June 21, 2012, at 1 p.m. to receive comment on proposed payment rates (effective March 1) for the state-owned veterans nursing facilities. The hearing will take place in the Permian Basin Room at HHSC.
