The following information was obtained in the May 18 issue of the Texas Register:
The Board of Nursing proposes to amend §213.23, Decision of the Board, which would clarify existing requirements for submitting written materials to the board and making oral presentations; facilitate fully informed board deliberation and decisions; and specify that proposals for decision may not contain recommendations for sanctions.
The board also proposes to amend §213.33, Factors Considered for Imposition of Penalties/Sanctions, which would implement the requirements of HB 2975 and SB 1360; and clarify the proper application of the mitigating factors in the existing subsection.
