DADS released three information letters and one provider letter:
NFs:
DADS notified NFs that the compliance date for the Automated External Defibrillator Requirement has been extended to September 1, 2014. (Letter)
HCS and TxHmL:
DADS rules require these providers to include in an individual’s implementation plan a list outcomes and to document the progress or lack of progress toward the outcomes. Completing sample logs in the billing guidelines might not fulfill this requirement. (Letter)
Additionally, these providers must notify DADS of their response to the DFPS investigation by faxing a completed Form 8494, Notification to the Department of Aging and Disability Services Regarding Department of Family and Protective Services Investigation, to DADS Waiver Survey & Certification risk assessment coordinators at (512) 438-4148, effective May 1, 2012. Finally, these providers they must notify DADS of an individual’s death by faxing a completed Form 8493, Notification to DADS Regarding a Death in HCS, TxHmL and DBMD Programs, to DADS at 512-438-4148. (Letter)
