Public Hearing and Notices
HHSC will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at 1 p.m. to receive comment on proposed rates for Community Living Supports – Bachelor’s Level, Community Living Supports – Master’s Level, and Family Supports Services in the Youth Empowerment Services Waiver. The hearing will be held in the Lone Star Conference Room. See the Texas Register for details.
HHSC intends to submit an amendment to the Texas State Plan for Medical Assistance that would update and clarify the methodology HHSC uses to qualify hospitals, compute hospital specific limits, and calculate payments for hospitals that participate in the Disproportionate Share Hospital Program.
HHSC intends to submit an amendment to update the current state plan with information about recent updates to the fee schedules for the following: Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies; Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment; and Physicians and Other Practitioners.
HHSC intends to submit transmittal number 12-004, which would clarify the language about requirements for Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment audiology and case management services providers.
HHSC intends to submit transmittal number 12-002, which would allow certain payments made from, or interest earned on, Texas Save and Match programs and any qualified tuition program that meets federal tax code and §529 requirements. Finally, HHSC intends to submit an amendment that would modify the reimbursement methodologies for Ambulance Services; and Dental Services.
