DADS released several news alerts. An excerpt:
— DADS issued an alert to providers and other qualified entities interested in becoming a DBMD provider in Regions 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, or 9. DBMD providers must have current HCSSA licensure with at least the Licensed Home Health Services category to be eligible. — DADS is postponing the Culture Change webinar that was scheduled for January 24, 2012, due to technical difficulty.
— On January 3, 2012, the CMS began transitioning the CMSNet connectivity method used to submit OASIS data in Texas. Beginning February 3, 2012, the AT&T submission method will no longer be available. See the FAQs for more information.
— CMS posted the MDS 3.0 Resident Assessment Instrument Manual that will become effective April 1, 2012.
— DADS posted the December 2011 issue of The MDS Mentor.
— DADS will host a DAHS stakeholder meeting on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, from 9-10 a.m. in the John H. Winters Complex Public Hearing Room (Room 125), 701 W. 51st. St., Austin.
