DADS released an information letter and several news alerts.
CMPAS:
As a follow-up to IL 11-119 from October 21, DADS includes additional information specific to CMPAS providers. An excerpt:
Individuals eligible for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or SSI-related Medicaid and receiving CMPAS will be enrolled in the STAR+PLUS program effective March 1, 2012. However, individuals receiving CMPAS at the time of the expansion whose spouses are their paid attendants may choose to remain in CMPAS and will not be enrolled in the STAR+PLUS program. If an individual exercises this option and subsequently ceases to have the spouse as the paid attendant, the individual will be enrolled in the STAR+PLUS program at that time and CMPAS will no longer be an option.
— DADS proposed to repeal of 40 TAC, Chapter 8, Subchapter K, Deaths of Persons Served by TXMHMR Facilities or Community Mental Health and Mental Retardation Centers, and replace it with 40 TAC, Chapter 3, Subchapter E, Death of an Individual, at the March 8, 2012 DADS Council.
— DADS alerted providers and qualified entities seeking to become a DBMD provider in Regions 4 and 5 that they must have current HCCSA licensure to be eligible.
