— DADS notified CLASS Case Management Agencies and Direct Service Agencies of changes to CLASS contract compliance and fiscal monitoring review periods. DADS is making these changes so that CLASS providers will be monitored using either the program rules in 40 TAC Chapter 45 effective prior to March 21, 2011 or the program rules effective on March 21, 2011. See review periods at this link.
— CMS has revised the HHA survey. An excerpt from the news alert:
The revised survey process will:
- be data driven and patient-outcome oriented;
- focus on specific standards within specific conditions most directly related to the delivery of high-quality patient care;
- emphasize information from HHA staff interviews, clinical records and home visits;
- minimize non-clinical record review paper compliance;
- provide guidance for expanding the survey and issuing deficiencies; and
- provide more specific guidance on citing standard- and condition-level deficiencies.
— DADS added new information to the MDS 3.0 Training Materials.
