The September 1, 2011 expansion of the STAR+PLUS program into the contiguous counties of the Harris, Bexar, Nueces and Travis service areas includes the following counties:
- Harris service area: Austin, Matagorda and Wharton counties;
- Bexar service area: Bandera county;
- Nueces service area: Brooks, Goliad, Karnes, Kenedy and Live Oak counties; and
- Travis service area: Fayette county.
- (New) Jefferson service area: Chambers, Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Newton, Orange, Polk, San Jacinto, Tyler, and Walker.

— DADS has posted a memo to providers about possibly overusing dashes in the MDS 3.0 Assessment.
— DADS notified CLASS program providers of corrections to Form 3621 (CLASS – Individual Plan of Care) and form 3621T (CLASS – IPC Service Delivery Transfer Worksheet):
- The unit rate for auditory enhancement training (SVC 35A) now reflects the current reimbursement rate for this service of $52.73 per unit/hour.
- The unit rate field for supported employment (SVC 37) is now user populated. Please note the reimbursement rate for SVC 37 must not exceed the base rate for habilitation Services (SVC10) as defined by the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).
