DADS released four information letters:
Region 1 CBA:
Grace Clinic will conduct a pilot project authorized by HHSC to improve the health of individuals receiving CBA waivers services in Region 1. Participants may voluntarily enroll in the pilot project. (Letters)
All DADS contracted providers:
DADS reminded these providers that they have an obligation to protect confidential Medicaid data. If a contractor discovers there has been inappropriate use or disclosure, the contractor should report to the DADS Privacy Security Officer immediately by phone at (512) 438-4600 or (877) 379-7501, or by email at HIPAA@dads.state.tx.us. CLASS and CDA:
DADS notified providers of a provision of respite change in the CLASS Program. An excerpt:
Effective the date of this letter, DADS may authorize respite for an individual receiving CLASS Program services who has a service provider of habilitation or an employee in the CDS option of habilitation if:
- the service provider or employee routinely provides unpaid assistance and support with activities of daily living to the individual;
- the amount of respite does not exceed the amount of unpaid assistance and support routinely provided; and
- the service provider of respite does not have the same residence as the individual.
Title XIX and Title XX Home Delivered Meals providers:
DADS informed these providers of changes to the process for requesting a waiver of the program requirement to deliver a minimum of five hot meals per week. (Letter)
