- Residents must sign the form in the 3.0 RAI Manual when admitted to an NF or SNF.
- DADS drafted rules about employee training in DADS State Supported Living Centers, which would consolidate the rules into a single subchapter, delete outdated agency names and references, improve the readability of the language, and increase congruence between rules, policies, regulatory requirements, and the Settlement Agreement.
- DADS recently announced enhancements to the Employee Misconduct Registry. Some providers experienced problems getting identifying information when using the new bulk load search function. The problem has been resolved. You may conduct simultaneous searches of multiple individuals on the website at https://emr.dads.state.tx.us/DadsEMRWeb.
- DADS will hold a meeting for assisted living provider stakeholders onĀ Wednesday, June 8, 2011, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., in the John H. Winters Public Hearing Room, 701 W. 51st Street, Austin, TX.
- Texas Medicaid recipients will be getting a new Medicaid ID card with a magnetic strip, beginning in June. Providers will be able to find out if a person is a recipient by swiping the card or entering the Medicaid ID number. See the FAQs for more information.
- DADS invited Region 6 providers only to attend an ICF/MR meeting (limited to three participants per facility) to open communication between staff and providers. The meeting will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2011, from 12:30-4 p.m., at the United Way of Greater Houston, Auditorium, 50 Waugh Drive, Houston, TX 77007. RSVP by July 20 here.
- DADS changed the location and time of a nursing facility provider meeting for Regions 2, 9, and 10. DADS will hold only one meeting on June 14, 2011, from 9-12 p.m., and registration begins 30 minutes before the meeting, which is relocated to HHSC/DADS Building (entrance #1), 4601 S. 1st Street, Abilene, rooms K101, K102 and K103.
