From the April 22 issue of the Texas Register:
Public Notice
HHSC intends to submit to CMS a request for a new Medicaid waiver for the Texas Dental Program. Medicaid recipients age 21 and over, all Medicaid recipients living in Medicaid-paid facilities, and STAR Health Program recipients won’t be eligible to participate in the statewide managed care dental program, but will continue to receive dental services through existing service delivery models. See the Texas Register for more details.
Proposed Rules
HHSC proposes to amend §355.101, Introduction; §355.102, General Principles of Allowable and Unallowable Costs; §355.103, Specifications for Allowable and Unallowable Costs; §355.105, General Reporting and Documentation Requirements, Methods, and Procedures; §355.106, Basic Objectives and Criteria for Audit and Desk Review of Cost Reports; §355.107, Notification of Exclusions and Adjustments; and §355.110, Informal Reviews and Formal Appeals.
Among other things, the changes would incorporate the School Health and Related Services program and accommodate the utilization of a web-based cost reporting system.
HHSC also proposes to amend §371.1685, the use of criminal history record information, in Chapter 371, Medicaid and Other Health and Human Services Fraud and Abuse Program Integrity. The proposed change would add new subsection (a)(5), which makes aggravated sexual assault a conviction that renders an applicant or provider ineligible to participate in the Texas Medicaid program.
For more information about all proposed rules, see the Texas Register.
