DADS posted several news alerts. A sample:
- DADS posted a new version of the Mental Retardation/Related Conditions Assessment, Form 8578, with a revision date of June 2010, to the forms library on the web site . However, some direct service agencies continue to use the old version of this form, with a revision date of October 2009.
- The DADS ICF/MR Provider and Surveyor Conference is scheduled for Oct. 20-21, 2011, at the Commons Learning Center in Austin, Texas. DADS seeks provider input for the conference via a survey.
- Triad Group has voluntarily recalled all lots of alcohol prep pads, swabs, and swab sticks, because of potential microbial contamination. The products are also identified by the following manufacturer names: Cardinal Health, PSS Select, VersaPro, Boca/Ultilet, Moore Medical, Walgreens, CVS, or Conzellin.
- Over the past two weeks, confirmed cases of influenza and influenza-like illnesses have increased in the state, and DSHS now considers the illness “widespread.” See updates about this item at the DSHS web site.
