1. DADS invites all Region 4/5 Nursing, Assisted Living, and Adult Day Care Facilities to attend a provider meeting with DADS, Regulatory Services Division, Regulatory Services Division, and the area agencies on Aging of Southeast Texas, Deep East Texas, and Houston-Galveston area 1st Annual Education Project. One meeting will take place in Tyler and one in Lufkin, on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Angelina College. You may register here.

The STAR+PLUS Expansion into Contiguous Counties meeting that was scheduled for February 4, 2011, has been rescheduled to February 22, 2011, to be held at the Fayette County Agricultural Building in La Grange. 3. CMS updated the technical specs of MDS 3.0 and changed the procedure of how to complete a correction of an MDS. Starting April 1, 2011, the reason for assessment items, assessment reference date, discharge date, and entry date must be corrected by inactivating the old record and submitting a new record.
4. The MDS jRAVEN software was updated in January 2011. The 1.0.5 upgrade patch, as well as the full install of the client and network versions of jRAVEN, can be downloaded here.
5. DADS is revising publication for ICFs/MR regarding how to file a complaint.
