DADS release on information letter and news alerts:
- MDCP:
DADS informed these providers that during the development of the Individual Plan of Care, the service initiation date will be negotiated before the provider receives a service authorization form as indicated in 40 TAC, Chapter 50, §51.217(b). An excerpt:
When the initial service initiation date has been agreed upon by all required parties, the case manager will send the provider the appropriate service authorization form, either Form 2414, Adjunct Support Service Authorization, or Form 2415, Respite Service Authorization. The provider must sign the service authorization form and send the original back to the case manager within 14 days of receipt of the service authorization form as specified in 40 TAC, Chapter 50, §51.413.
- A new computer-based training, Activities in the Nursing Facility, is now available. Access the training on the DADS web site.
- DADS has updated its Minimum Data Set web site, which includes an easier-to-use format.
- This month, DADS issued CLASS enrollment offer letters to 986 individuals from the CLASS Interest List. See a list of CLASS catchment area numbers here.
