DADS release an information letter and several news alerts:
- ICFs/MR, SSLCs, and MRAs:
DADS alerted these providers to a policy change. They now may refer an individual with a competitive employment goal to the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services for employment services. If he applies, the ICF/MR provider or MRA should follow the coordination processes outlined in IL 08-26. If not, then the ICF/MR provider or MRA should proceed with assisting the individual to pursue and maintain their employment goal. (Letter)
- For LTSS providers contracted with DADS to provide ICM 1915(c) Waiver, Primary Home Care, Day Activity and Health Services, and Consumer Managed Personal Attendant Services Programs in the Dallas and Tarrant Service Areas, DADS and HHSC will host meetings on STAR+PLUS expansion on September 22 and September 23. See the alert page for details.

The first will be held on October 4 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Contact Cheryl Craddock-Melchor, Interim Manager for CLASS Operations, at cheryl.craddockmelchor@dads.state.tx.us for more information.
