HHSC intends to submit Amendment 798, Transmittal Number TX 10-046, to the Texas State Plan for Medical Assistance, under Title XIX of the Social Security Act, which would exempt certain groups enrolled in the Medicaid Buy-in program from being required to pay premiums or other cost sharing charges.

Proposed Rules
The Texas Medical Board proposes amendments to §§172.2, 172.3, 172.5, 172.16, and new §172.17, concerning Temporary and Limited Licenses. The changes add definitions for controlled substances and dangerous drugs and clarifies that applicants for a distinguished professor temporary license must complete all provisions of an application for a full license and updates the name of the American Osteopathic Association Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation.

HHSC adopted new §355.8058, concerning Inpatient Direct Graduate Medical Education (GME), which clarifies that Medicaid GME payments are only for eligible state-owned or state-operated teaching hospitals, and definitions, processes, and timing related to GME reimbursement.
