- DADS has made available the June 2010 issue of The MDS Mentor, written by Cheryl Shiffer, Texas MDS RAI Coordinator, and Andy Alegria, Texas MDS Automation Coordinator, for Minimum Data Set stakeholders. Articles include:
- The Correction Form and Section X
- Correcting Your MDS
- How to Address Validation Warnings
- Correcting the Hard Copy of MDS
- What Needs Sending When Medicaid is Pending?
- MDS News in Review
- DADS previously allowed CWP HCSSAs to use either the Form 3650, Level-of-Care (LOC) or Form 8578 to make an assignment of an individual’s Level of Care (LOC) and Level of Need (LON), when necessary. Those providers now must use the Form 8578, Mental Retardation/Related Condition Assessment to make an assignment of LOC and LON, when necessary.
- Providers may subscribe to a new e-mail update category called MDS and MN/LOC 2.0 to 3.0.
See the news alert web site for previous updates.
