DADS released three information letters:
CBA, HCSSAs, CDSAs: On November 1, DADS will expand the Overnight Companion Services (OCS) to the remaining fee-for-service counties in Region 11 (Brooks, Duval, Jim Hogg, Kennedy, Live Oak, McMullen, Starr, Webb, and Zapata) and all of the counties in Region 4. DADS held an “expansion event” on Tuesday to introduce OCS in Region 4, answer questions, and begin enrolling CBA and HCSSAs that want to provide OCS. (Letter)
HCS and TxHmL: DADS reinstated authorization for HSC program enrollment for individuals in State Supported Living Centers recommended for community placement. Delay of enrollment has ended. (Letter)
HCS, TxHmL, MRAs, and CDSAs: HHSC adopted new rates for HCS and TxHmL programs, and DADS calculated new cost ceilings for these programs based on new rates for ICFs/MR. All changes are effective October 1. The letter includes a chart of new rates. (Letter)
