DADS Letters: NF, CDSA, ICR/MR, HCS, TxHmL

DADS released one provider and six information letters:

  • DADS sent a disaster/emergency guideline letter that applies to HCSSAs temporarily locating a place of business, temporarily expanding their service area, voluntarily suspending operations, or permanently closing in response to a disaster or emergency that affects services or the ability to provide them. (Letter)

  • CDSAs may delegate any task (under the RN delegation of services) to an unlicensed person employed in the CDS option, as long as the task isn’t expressly prohibited from delegation by the Board of Nursing. An individual or legally authorized representative, parent, or guardian must be able to train and supervise the non-skilled person to carry out the task.

  • DADS asked CDSAs, HCS, and TxHmL providers to delay billing for Support Consultation claims starting September 1, 2009 until September 14, 2009, to make sure these claims are properly paid. (Letter)

  • DADS outlined CDS services array changes in a letter to CLASS providers, CMAs, and CDSAs, effective September 1, 2009. (Letter)

  • DADS highlighted new procedures for the revised QAF CARE screens and the reconciliation process for the period of January 1, 2008 to August 31, 2008, for private ICF/MR Group 6 providers. Attached to the letter are the DADS QAF Informal Review Process and Instructions for CARE Screen 1125 & 1126 Changes. (Letter)

  • DADS provided MRAs, HCS, and TxHmL program providers with a set of process steps for complying with the transition activities that must be completed before CARE changes, to be implemented on September 14, 2009. Attached to the letter is a CARE implementation MATRIX. (Letter)

  • DADS reminded NF and ICF/MR providers who manage personal funds about requirements related to the roles and responsibilities of each facility in the disposition of the PNA benefit warrants. (Letter)
