Public Hearings and Notices
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) will hold a public hearing to receive comment on proposed Medicaid rates for the Nursing Facility program on August 3, 2009, at 9 a.m.
At 1:30 p.m. the same day, HHSC will hold a public hearing to receive comment on proposed rate adjustments for the non-state operated Intermediate Care Facilities for Persons with Mental Retardation (ICF/MR).
The agency will hold another hearing on August 18, 2009, at 1:30 p.m., to receive public comment on the proposed Medicaid payment rates for Suture of Wounds procedure code services.
The meetings will be held in the Lone Star Conference Room of the Health and Human Services Commission, Braker Center, Building H, located at 11209 Metric Boulevard, Austin, Texas. See this entry of the Texas Register for details.
Adopted Rules
HHSC adopted a new section, §9.228, in Chapter 9, Mental Retardation Services–Medicaid State Operating Agency Responsibilities, which will allow an ICF/MR program provider to request authorization to purchase an augmentative communication device and receive full reimbursement for the device.
