Public Hearings and Notices
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) will hold a public hearing on July 15, 2009, at 1:30 p.m., to receive comment on proposed Medicaid payment rates for Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment Personal Care Services for Type of Service (TOS) 1, Ambulance Services, and Certified Nurse Midwife services in a birthing center for types of service (TOS) 1 and 2.
The hearing will be held in the Lone Star Conference Room of HHSC, Braker Center, Building H, located at 11209 Metric Boulevard, Austin, Texas. See the relevant section of the Texas Register for details.
HHSC intends to submit amendments to the Texas State Plan for Medical Assistance, which would modify the reimbursement methodologies in the Texas Medicaid State Plan as a result of Medicaid fee changes for Ambulance Services Texas Health Steps and Personal Care Services.
HHSC also intends to submit an amendment to the Texas State Plan for Medical Assistance, which would modify the reimbursement methodologies in the Texas Medicaid State Plan as a result of Medicaid fee changes for Tuberculosis Clinic Services.

Proposed Rules
HHSC proposed to amend §355.8061, Payment for Hospital Services, and §355.8063, Reimbursement Methodology for Inpatient Hospital Services. The changes would consolidate and update the inpatient and outpatient supplemental payment rule language for eligible publicly-owned or -affiliated urban hospitals. Withdrawn Rules
The Texas Medical Board withdrew proposed amendments to §§174.1, 174.2, 174.4, 174.6 and §190.8. See the relevant section for details.
