The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) intends to submit an amendment to the Texas State Plan for Medical Assistance, under Title XIX of the Social Security Act, which would comply with the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services final rule to further align the Medicaid definition of “outpatient services” to the Medicare definition. HHSC seeks public comments on its estimate and methodology for determining the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program caseload reduction credit for Federal Fiscal Year 2009.
