Public Hearings
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) will hold public hearings June 13 and June 17 to receive public comment on proposed rates for various programs, services, pay rates, and procedure codes. Beginning at this link, scroll down to read all 12 entries.
Proposed Rules
HHSC proposes to amend §354.1863, Prescription Requirements, under Title 1, Part 15, Chapter 354, Subchapter F, Division 4, relating to the new federal requirement that written prescriptions for covered outpatient drugs for Medicaid recipients must be executed on tamper-resistant prescription pads. HHSC proposes a new §355.8052, concerning Inpatient Hospital Reimbursement, which is part of a larger revision to Medicaid inpatient hospital reimbursement rules. For more information, see the relevant section of the Texas Register.
HHSC adopted amendments to §§9.153 – 9.155, 9.160, 9.165, 9.174, 9.177, and 9.185 in Chapter 9, Mental Retardation Services–Medicaid State Operating Agency Requirements, Subchapter D, Home and Community-Based Services (HCS) Program, which will reflect the increased individual cost limit of the annual intermediate care facility for persons with mental retardation reimbursement rate.
