Public Notices
DADS published a notice of a limited waiver from requirements of Chapter 2254 and a consultant contract award. The University of Florida (P.O. Box 115500, Gainesville, Florida 32611) was selected as contractor to provide an assessment of the functionality of an electronic health record system that SSLCs currently use, and its potential for customization to meet DADS future needs. The contract amount is not to exceed $99,000. See the Texas Register for details.
HHSC adopted the following per diem reimbursement rates to be effective September 1, 2013.
Per Diem Rates for Large, State-Operated ICF/IID Services
Large State-Operated ICF/IID Facilities – Medicaid Only clients
Adopted interim daily rate: $706.00Large State-Operated ICF/IID Facilities – Dual-eligible Medicaid/Medicare clients
Adopted interim daily rate: $683.29Per Diem Rate for Small, State-Operated ICF/IID Services
Adopted interim daily rate: $628.31
HHSC adopted the following per diem reimbursement rates for the Nursing Facility program:
- Figure: Base Rates by RUG Class
- Figure: Minutes Associated with Proposed Rate Per Diem
- Figure: Liability Insurance Coverage Proposed Rate Per Diem
- Facilities in the Pediatric Care Facility Special Reimbursement Class operated by DADS will receive the following payment rate: $238.50
HHSC submitted to CMS and Medicaid Services a request to amend the Texas Healthcare Transformation and Quality Improvement Program, which would add cognitive rehabilitation therapy as an available waiver service. For more information about each entry, see the Texas Register.
Adopted Rules
HHSC adopted amendments to ยง355.8065, Disproportionate Share Hospital Reimbursement Methodology, which revises the way that the state’s DSH allocation is distributed among eligible hospitals. See the Texas Register for more information.
