DADS released two information letters and news alerts.
MDCP providers:
DADS reminded these providers of their responsibility to collect co-payment amounts from individuals who have a Qualified Income Trusts and are receiving respite or adjunct support services through MDCP. (Letter)
DADS informed MDCP and HCSS providers of procedure changes for MDCP regional nurse and case manager during the review of the in-home record. Providers must maintain information that includes service delivery records from the last seven days of service; the individual’s practitioner’s name and telephone number; a signed copy of the Client’s Rights and Responsibilities form; a written evacuation plan; emergency contact numbers; and the individual’s practitioner’s name and telephone number. News Alerts:
- DADS has paused all MDS 3.0 submissions processing while CMS fixes a bug in the processing software. However, nursing homes and swing bed facilities may continue submitting MDS data, and information will be processed after the fix.
- Registrations for three Region 3 HCSSA provider meetings is closed. For more information about future provider meetings, contact the Arlington office at 817-792-7201.
- MDS 3.0 record processing is still suspended; however, providers may continue to submit MDS 3.0 records to the Assessment Submission and Processing system.
- DADS will hold a town hall meeting in the Dallas area on Saturday, October 23, 2010, from 1-2:30 p.m., at the Multipurpose Hall, 840 Abrams Road, Richardson, TX 75081. Providers will learn more about the Consumer Directed Services service delivery option available in many Texas programs.
