Proposed Rules
HHSC proposes to amend §354.1143, Coordination of Medicaid with Medicare Parts A, B, and C, which would authorize HHSC to make higher cost-sharing payments for dual eligibles for certain services if HHSC determines it’s necessary to ensure adequate access or that it would be more cost-effective. For details, see the Texas Register.
HHSC also proposed to amend §355.8065, Disproportionate Share Hospital. An excerpt:
Section 355.8065 establishes the reimbursement methodology for the Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) program. HHSC, under its authority and responsibility to administer and implement rates, is amending this rule to: (1) update the methodology for calculation of DSH payments in response to a Petition for the Adoption of a Rule submitted under §351.2; (2) delete language pertaining to calculation of the hospital-specific limit (HSL); and (3) clarify current rule language and administrative processes.
Adopted Rules
HHSC adopted amendments to §372.107, concerning people excluded from a TANF certified group, and §372.1402, concerning changes a SNAP household must report, to correct outdated rules and to reflect current federal regulations and HHSC policy. See the Texas Register for more information.
