Adopted Rules
HHSC adopted new §354.1434, Home Telemonitoring Benefits and Limitations, to create the new telemonitoring benefit.
HHSC adopted amendments to §355.7001, Reimbursement Methodology for Telemedicine and Telehealth Services, which directs HHSC to expand advanced telecommunications services to Medicaid recipients, including the use of home telemonitoring.
HHSC adopted amendments to §355.8066, Hospital-Specific Limit Methodology, which provides greater detail regarding the HSL formulas; describe the use of a survey to collect data; revise the cost-reporting period used for the interim HSL calculation; remove supplemental payments and waiver uncompensated care payments from the interim HSL calculation; and prescribe the conditions under which a hospital may appeal charge and payment data that HHSC receives from its Medicaid contractors.

The Texas Board of Nursing adopted amendments to §214.3, Program Development, Expansion and Closure, necessary to establish in the rules a $500 filing fee for an out-of-state vocational nursing education program seeking to conduct clinical learning experiences in Texas; and clarify that the board may withdraw approval if the program fails to maintain the requirements necessary for initial approval.

The board adopted amendments to §223.1, Fees, necessary to establish in the rules a $500 filing fee for an out-of-state nursing education program seeking to conduct clinical learning experiences in Texas; and reduce the licensure renewal fee for registered nurses from $73 to $70.
