HHSC will hold a public hearing on November 17, 2009, at 1:30 p.m., in the Lone Star Conference Room of HHSC, Braker Center, Building H, located at 11209 Metric Boulevard, Austin, Texas, to discuss Medicaid payment rates for:

• 2009 Second and Third Quarter Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System Updates
• Stand-alone blood pressure monitoring devices associated with Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring medical policy changes
• Dynamic adjustable forearm, knee and shoulder devices associated with Orthoses medical policy changes
• Physician Evaluation and Management Services (Adult Annual Preventive/Wellness Exams)
• Quarterly Medicaid Fee Reviews
• Rabies Services
• Transplant Non-Solid Organ Services

HHSC intends to submit an amendment to the Texas State Plan for Medical Assistance, to implement Section 6035 of the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, which requires states to have laws mandating that legally responsible third party payors comply with the provisions of Section 1902(a)(25)(I) of the Social Security Act, effective December 1, 2010.
